Spondylus is the sacred, mythical shell of the Incas. Divers gathered it 500 years ago off the coast of Ecuador, from the depths of the Pacific Ocean. The shell was then shaped into jewels or pieces of art, before joining the caravans amidst other goods reaching the highest peaks of the Andes. In several occasions, it was buried together with the people given as sacrifices to the gods. The Spondylus is a symbol of fertility, top social status and absolute quality.
This is why we named our project Spondylus. Our itineraries range from the depths of the ocean to the highest mountains of the Andes. Our work is expected to be fertile and rewarding, both for us, our partners and customers, while we constantly aim to maintain high standards and quality.
We know we have reached our goal when a trip becomes an experience through the emotions of our guests.
